I ordered the fried laksa and the fish cakes (new to the menu!). They were both really nice, I’m 100% coming back. I was also very happy with the portion size of the fried laksa. I’m a big eater and I wasn’t disappointed. Both the owner and worker were really friendly and accomodating. I highly recommend! (not photographed) The fried chicken and fried chicken roti pockets were delicious! The beef rendang had nice flavours but probably needed more sauce. Just note that it can be a bit cold inside when it’s cold outside, so bring a jacket. A message to the owner: I’m not a fan of the use of AI images on the menu. I normally avoid places that use them . Maybe something to keep in mind if I’m not alone in thinking that. Maybe other people like them though, I don’t know.

We hungry lah. Got recommendation after reading post from fb. Not easy to find, as the shop signage nested between a crepes food truck and Graveyard bar. But determination paid off. Parking can be a bit challenging. The interior seemed new. Very relax atmosphere, there are board games and chess set to keep kids occupied while waiting the order to arrive. We love the small selections of the menu which makes selection easy for us to decide what to eat. We ordered 4 dishes, all have to set to mild as kids are not able tolerate spicy food. The fried laksa is the highlight, never had it before. The wok-hei of CKT hit the spot, nicely done and clean without char black bits. It is so good to eat-in rather than take away. Mee goreng is another highlight as well. My kid had the Ripper curry roti pocket. Neat to eat. Next time we will be back to try the cendol and medium level spicy for fried laksa and the curry laksa. Friendly wait person, and hardworking boss in the kitchen cooking customer’s order. Thank you. 祝老板生意兴隆。 Highly recommend.

I had such a fantastic experience at Hungry Lah! From the moment we walked in, the staff were warm, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious – full of rich Malaysian flavors that tasted authentic and fresh. Every dish was vibrant, generous in portion, and beautifully presented. The standout for me was the Mee Goreng and Laksa, but honestly, everything we tried was full of flavor and cooked to perfection.

This is a hidden gem! There’s not a lot to choose from in the menu but that’s the beauty of it, you get to eat only the most delicious ones! We had the fried laksa, it is special and definitely different but delicious. We also had the char kuey teow, equally as delicious. We went for the medium spicy level but do find it quite spicy so I would recommend mild spicy if spicy isn’t your thing. It can be a little difficult to look for the store as the entrance is blocked by a food truck. It is also not visible from the main road but hopefully that changes because more people should know about this place!

Great laksa, very flavourful and good to see it available in a suburb where there isn't much Malaysian cuisine. Slight constructive feedback would be to improve the table system (just allocate a number when the customer orders). If you're planning to eat it, just be mindful the dining space is shared with a bar. Would visit again!

What a gem in Coburg north. The fried laksa is a must try, rich aromatic and unlike anything else in the city. The char kway teow is smoky and bold. We tried beef rendang with rice, fried chicken and roti pockets was awesome too. Everything on point. Best Malaysian food in Melbourne. Almost forgot the boneless fried chicken is very delicious.
